Who we are
Joré is operated by JORÉ TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17428982. Our registered office is 72 Sunningdale, Bradford, England, BD8 0LZ.
We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice. If you have any questions, email us at hello@myjore.co.uk.
What this notice covers
This notice covers this website (myjore.co.uk) and the Joré waitlist. The Joré app has not launched yet. When it does, we will publish an updated notice covering the app.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect:
- your email address;
- the date and time you joined, and which form you used;
- your approximate location (country and city), worked out from your internet connection, not from your device’s GPS;
- basic technical details about your browser (its “user agent”), which helps us spot spam sign-ups.
If you email us, we will also have your email address and anything you choose to tell us.
How we use it and why
- To tell you when Joré launches and send occasional launch updates. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To understand interest in different parts of the UK and plan the launch, using the location and sign-up details. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in planning the launch.
- To keep the waitlist free of spam and abuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
- To reply to you when you contact us.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site. They process data only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and stores the waitlist in a database located in Western Europe.
- Google (Google Workspace) provides our email, and we may keep a copy of the waitlist in Google Sheets.
Some of these providers are based in, or may access data from, outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary cookies to keep the site secure.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until Joré launches and for up to 12 months afterwards, so we can let you know about the launch. After that, or sooner if you ask, we delete them. If you create a Joré account, the app’s privacy notice will apply from then on.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and receive a copy of it. To leave the waitlist or use any of these rights, email hello@myjore.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
